Introduction
I got a thinkpad t60 a some time ago (model UT049GE), and this page is my attempt to document the configuration I'm using to run Debian GNU/Linux on it.

Configuration Overview
- sound (alsa: snd-hda-intel): works
- graphics (radeon x1300): works either with vesa driver (a bit slow) or with properitary ati drivers
- lan (intel e1000): works, albeit there seems to be a bug concerning high latency when booting without cable inserted
- wlan (ipw3945): works, but needs intel kernel module (source), user-space-daemon (binary only) and firmware (binary only), monitor mode is supported
- cpu frequency scaling: works, you can even switch of one cpu
- swsusp (native kernel) to ram: works since 2.6.17-rc6
- swsusp (native kernel) to disk: works since 2.6.17-rc6
- suspend2 to ram: works since 2.2.7
- suspend2 to disk: works since 2.2.7
- suspend to cryptodisk: works too, see c4 wiki (sorry, german only)
